On a commercial or industrial rooftop, the real cost of cleaning is risk and access. Panels sit high, roofs are often low-tilt (so dirt stays put), and every clean means sending people to height. The priority is simple: get the panels clean without putting a crew on the roof any more than necessary.
The challenge
- Height & safety — working at height is slow, costly and carries fall risk, especially on large factory and warehouse roofs.
- Low-tilt soiling — flat and low-slope C&I roofs don’t self-clean with rain, so dust and grime accumulate.
- Access & obstacles — rooftop arrays have edges, walkways and equipment a machine has to work around.
Our approach
- WSE-R01B crawler robot — walks the array itself on anti-slip tracks, cleans wet or dry, and stops at edges with anti-drop detection. It keeps crews off the roof, covers large areas fast (up to ~1,450 m²/h) and handles module tilts up to 20°.
- WSE-G04 roller / WSE-G03 double-head — long-reach brushes for the edges, odd shapes and rows the robot can’t reach. Robot + brush = full coverage.
This pairing is the most common C&I setup: the robot does the open area, brushes finish the perimeter — one crew, far less time on the roof.
