The R1A shares the same all-terrain tracked platform, anti-fall system and 150–200 m HD visual remote as our double-head flagship, with a single roller brush up front.

drives forward, backward and sideways across the array, so a row is finished in one pass instead of being re-approached from a second angle. It moves between passes at 20 m/min, and the single roller comes in 1110 mm or 1400 mm so you match the head to your module layout rather than the other way round.

Wet & dry cleaning

nozzles above the roller lay water onto the glass while the PBT brush lifts dust, dried mud and bird droppings, drawing no more than 1.84 L/min. Switch the water off and the same roller sweeps loose dust and sand dry — which is what most desert and water-scarce sites actually need. No detergent either: the bristles are specified to clean the glass, not abrade it.

the operator stays on the ground or at the roof edge instead of walking the array, which is where most cleaning injuries happen. The handset shows signal strength and live battery state, warns on low voltage, and offers cruise control plus stepless speed adjustment, so you can slow down over a heavily soiled section without stopping the run.

two 24 V / 26 Ah lithium packs give 6–8 hours of continuous cleaning, with the charge level readable straight off the housing rather than guessed at. Below 20% the robot warns with a flashing light and buzzer, so it tells you to bring it in rather than stranding itself mid-array.

All-terrain tracked chassis

full-width rubber tracks spread the robot’s weight across the glass instead of concentrating it under wheels, so it grips wet and tilted panels without slipping or point-loading them. It steps across frame gaps of up to 20 cm and holds its line on arrays pitched up to 20°, in ambient temperatures from −20 to 50 °C.

Anti-fall protection

omni-directional edge sensors stop the robot at panel edges and turn on a red warning light; you simply drive it back the other way with the remote. Because the sensors read every direction rather than just ahead, they also catch row ends and mid-array gaps — which is where an unattended crawler is most likely to be lost.
