Remote-controlled double-head crawler robot — cleans 1.5–2 MW of panels per day, wet or dry.

Overview

Remote-controlled, double-head crawler robot for large and hard-to-reach solar arrays.

The R1B walks the array on an all-terrain tracked chassis, cleans wet or dry, and stops itself at panel edges — all from a handheld remote up to 150–200 m away. Two roller brushes work behind a fan-shaped water curtain, lifting dust, dried mud and bird droppings in a single pass at up to 1.5–2 MW of plant per day.

It is built for the sites that are awkward to service — rooftops, carports and utility-scale fields where walking the glass is slow, risky or simply not permitted. The robot steps across frame gaps of up to 20 cm without stopping, holds its line on arrays pitched up to 20°, and spreads its 48.3 kg over full-width rubber tracks instead of point-loading the modules. Two 24 V lithium packs cover a 6–8 hour shift, and both chargers ship in the box.

Why this machine

Key Benefits

Double-head throughput
01

Double-head throughput

two roller brushes with multi-point water spray form a uniform fan-shaped water curtain, boosting cleaning efficiency by ~95% versus a single brush and clearing 1.5–2 MW of PV plant per day. Choose a 1100 mm or 1400 mm cleaning width to match your module layout, and drive either brush independently when you only need one side working.

Wet & dry cleaning

in wet mode, multi-point nozzles above the rollers lay down a fan-shaped water curtain while the PBT brushes lift dust, dried mud and bird droppings, drawing no more than 1.84 L/min. Switch to dry mode and the same rollers sweep loose dust and sand without a drop of water — which is what most desert and water-scarce sites actually need. No detergent either: the bristles are specified to clean the glass, not abrade it.

the operator stays on the ground or at the roof edge instead of walking the array, which is where most cleaning injuries happen. The handset shows signal strength and live battery state, warns on low voltage, and offers cruise control, independent single/double brush control and stepless speed adjustment.

two 24 V / 26 Ah lithium packs give 6–8 hours of continuous cleaning, with the charge level readable straight off the housing rather than guessed at. Below 20% the robot warns with a flashing light and buzzer so it never strands itself mid-array, and two chargers ship in the box so one pack refills while the other works.

All-terrain tracked chassis

full-width rubber tracks spread the robot’s 48.3 kg across the glass instead of concentrating it under wheels, so it grips wet and tilted panels without slipping or point-loading them. It steps across frame gaps of up to 20 cm, holds its line on arrays pitched up to 20°, and moves between cleaning passes at 20 m/min.

Safety first

Built not to fall

Anti-fall protection

omni-directional edge sensors stop the robot at panel edges and turn on a red warning light; you simply drive it back the other way with the remote.
